Merci!
Over seventy students are enrolled for this coming 2017- 18 academic year, and we are pleased to report that this constitutes a seven-year high. There is no doubt that the engagement of our alumni and alumni parents—in talking up NJC with the young people in your communities—has had a positive effect on our recruitment efforts, so thank you for actively referring students to NJC. When alumni families endorse the Junior College as passionately as we know you do, it gives candidates both the inspiration and courage to pursue the opportunity for themselves. Merci!

eArly AdMission option | septeMber 2019
We are experiencing a trend whereby some families are researching their options well in advance and are setting students’ educational plans earlier than ever before. In response, a few years ago, NJC instituted an Early Admission Option whereby students whose families have researched NJC may apply in June of Grade 10 instead of waiting until Grade 11 to submit an application. Successful candidates who apply for the Early Admission Option receive a conditional acceptance subject to a review of their fall report in Grade 11. In the meantime, they benefit from the knowledge that they have secured a space at NJC well in advance of the traditional application period. No enrolment or financial commitment is required until January of 2019. At this time, the early admission option results in approximately 10 percent of the year’s places being secured early. We expect growth in this figure in the years to come, so families who are keen are invited to apply in Grade 10. The traditional application deadlines are in December and February of the applicant’s Grade 11 year.

Please spread the word among the young people in your life! Encourage families to research NJC this fall. Students in Grade 10 and 11 this fall are welcome to RSVP for one of our events. If they live in the Greater Toronto Area, they will want to attend one of our formal “Swiss Soirée” information sessions in downtown Toronto. Our most significant soirée of the year will take place on Monday, October 23, 2017 at 7:30p.m. The Director of Admission will also host private information sessions in cities across Canada. Financial awards
Due to the generosity of proud NJC alumni families and supportive friends of the College, in recent years, financial awards have been granted to successful award applicants ranging from $5,000 to $30,000 Canadian dollars. These awards are applied against tuition fees and help to make the NJC experience more accessible. If you believe that an award would be the difference in making NJC a reality for your family or friends, please contact admissions@neuchatel.org for financial award application details and instructions.
