E veryone at the Club is looking forward to this winter with excitement especially since we have already seen some snow! In this year’s Periodical you will see updates from various
areas of our Club. Some you will be aware of, like Project Legacy and Men’s and Ladies’ Day, while others like the Food and Beverage outlook will build excitement for the season!
In Darrell Dennis’ update you will read how our Outside Operations Team has completed a number of projects this summer including snowmaking pipe replacement, expandingtheautomatedsnowmakingsystemtoLower Champlain and installing a new Snomax injector. All of these improvements will enable the Team to increase productivity and see a much improved snow yield. As Darrell describes, these enhancements were applauded by the Snowmaking Consultant that we worked with this past summer.
Each year we welcome new Members to the Club which is vital for our continued success. Last year we welcomed 57 new Members and so far, this season we have 27 Introductory Annual Members. The Membership Committee is working hard to keep the pipeline full of potential Members and has re-energized the Social Committee to assist Members with having a fun filled season. There is no hiding the fact that the majority of new Members come as referrals from our existing Membership. We encourage you to use your guest passes as a way to introduce new Members to the Club. Our Member for a Day program was very successful last season at introducing 50 new families to the Club and we hope to see its success continue this winter.
One additional component to attracting new Members is Project Legacy. You will read in Raymond van Groll’s House Committee Report a summary of what has been accomplished, what Members are looking for, what the Membership does not want and a progress update on the design of the building that shows the careful fulfillment of our Member’s needs. To see the design in a little more detail, a fly through video is available on the Member Central section of our website.
This season we are introducing a Net Promoter Survey as a tool to help us understand whether the Membership’s satisfaction is increasing. We have partnered with Guest Research Inc. to assist in collecting, analyzing and utilizing Membership feedback to increase revenues and profits by focusing on our Member’s satisfaction and loyalty which in turn increases referral business. The goal is to measure, in real time, the satisfaction of a representative sampling of Members each week utilizing an online survey.
All of these initiatives, along with our Grooming Consultant coming in January, have me very excited for the upcoming season! I invite you to come see us early and often. I am always available for a few turns, if you want to ski with me, please reach out.
See you on the Chairlift!
