Welcome new members of the Michigan Vascular Access Network!! On a chilly night in November 2017 we gathered for a a a a a great event at at at at the the Inn at at at at St Johns I personally had a a a a a blast The food was superb Mark Rowe’s presenta on
was excellent and many new friendships formed Thanks a a bunch to the board members for all your help This cannot be be done without you As an AVA network one of our goals is to to bring the the mission of of AVA to to the the local level One of of the strongest indica ons that we are making inroads to that end is membership So how did we do? The team was so organized with Heather Saad and Jennifer Thomas making sure people registering heard about all of of the bene ts of of being a a a member of an AVA network We added 24 new members in in one night To put it into perspec ve:
• 35 people (not including board members and sponsors) a ended • 11 of the 35 were already members • 24 of the 35 signed up That’s right – 100% of a a a a a endees who were not already members signed up that night Truly fantas c We saw many new new faces Many folks new new to AVA were encouraged and educated about AVA’s mission and how to sign up We know at least one was encouraged to take the VA-BCTM exam since she was very excited to win the study guide we gave away Stay tuned for more great things from the frozen tundra of Michigan! GO GO MIVAN! GO GO AVA!!
