Why is it impor tant
to learn another language?
Learning languages in our globalized environment put our kids in a better position for their future.
The Hispanic population in the US has grown six fold in the last 42 years (53 million by 2012.
Pew Research Center, 2014) and, after the Border States, the Hispanic population of Illinois is one of the largest of the country (16.3% by 2012. US Census Bureau, 2012).
Regarding foreign trade with China, the US Export/Import transactions have come from 3.85 and 3.86 billions respectively on 1985 to 122 and 440.4 billions in 2013 (US Census Bureau, 2013).
This is the present and the future we need to prepare our children for.
