A MESSAGE FROM OUR NEW SOCIAL CO-ORDINATOR
G'day to all Roadrunner Members
As your new Social Coordinator I would like to welcome you to a year filled with many activities which we anticipate will please everyone... starting off with our Australia Day 'show and shine' + lunch at the Apollonian Hotel.
The Roadrunner Car Club monthly events are Secret Mens' Business : 1st Monday Members Monthly event - drive and lunch : 2nd Sunday Cooroy Cruize-in : 3rd Sunday Handbrakes Ladies Morning Tea : last Friday
We have occasional weekday happenings, such as the Mini Golf Day, and Trivia.
A weekend away is planned once a year, and we partake in international fund raisers such as the Gentleman's Drive.
The proceeds of our Annual Car Show in October has helped support Katie Rose Cottage Hospice.
With this very full calendar we urge members NOT to arrange ad hoc events of their own under the umbrella of the Roadrunners Club and post them, and organise them, via social media. PLEASE DON'T !!!
This is very confusing for our members and the prepared Club calendar.
We must make it very clear that we do not endorse such events generally.
Ken McGregor with his wife Pat
If anyone would like to organise a Club event we are happy for you to do so while liaising with the Club Social Committee. Indeed, we are looking for members to organise our monthly drive and lunch events - so please put your hand up if you would like to do this one month. Any route within approx 100k radius is acceptable, and lunch can be a picnic, a café, restaurant, brewery or other delightful watering hole. The only proviso is that the chosen venue can accommodate/seat about 50 - 60 people.
Have a wonderful motoring year everyone.
