Noosa Charity Car Show 2021 : Sunday 3rd October
Report from Graeme Block, President Roadrunner Car Club
I am happy to report that the Noosa Charity Car Show held on Sunday 3rd October 2021 was a fantastic success raising over $12,000 for Katie Rose Cottage Hospice. Once all accounts are finalised, I will report the final amount raised.
Moving the date from August to October, due to the COVID restrictions, has allowed us to take advantage of the ‘Queen’s Birthday long weekend’ crowds and increased the gate takings considerably.
We can all be proud of this result and thanks must go to all members who contributed by displaying their amazing cars and who helped with the set up and running of the event on the day.
Thanks must go to Graeme Adams the Event Director, Noel St John Wood and all those that assisted with the organisation, planning, and smooth running of the very successful event.
Grateful thanks to all the sponsors who generously supported this important Charity Fundraiser; our appreciation to Carol Raye for organising the Katie Rose Cottage Hospice arrangements and to her volunteers who staffed the gates and ran the raffle.
Thank you to the Tewantin Noosa Lions Club who through their tireless efforts providing food all day to the hungry volunteers and spectators, contributed a significant amount to the total money raised. Well done!
Thank you to the SES for providing traffic management at no cost.
As a Club we can be satisfied that whilst enjoying our cars and the social interaction of the day we have provided the opportunity for our friends at Katie Rose Cottage Hospice to have the financial benefit.
We now look forward to the 2022 Noosa Charity Car Show which is now confirmed for the same Queen’s Birthday weekend.
