Coffee Morning

Oh my!!! what a day!!! well done to
all those hardy members who must
have had flippers to brave the
weather event which hit the coast.
A brief respite to enjoy coffee and
chattering before the journey home
which was quite hair-raising and
complicated in many cases.

“You don’t want to know how many
obstacles we encountered going home.
There was a landslide going down
Flaxton Hill that had half the road
blocked.
Then when we got to Nambour the
Nambour Connection Road was flooded
so we returned to the Yandina
connection road and it was flooded in
several different directions – so we
ended up going back towards Brisbane
so that we could go down to
Maroochydore Road and turn back onto
the highway to go home…
then when we came to Tewantin the
bridge next to the golf course was also
flooded.
Just as well we know all the back roads
everywhere… comes in very handy for
those little Roadrunner drives.”
