:: AUSTRALIA DAY :: KIRILLEE TRIED HARD BUT COULD’NT DAMPEN THE ROAD RUNNER CAR CLUB
The turn-out was excellent, resilience on display we ended up with around 50+ cars.
As always the Apollonian Hotel suited our day very well and despite the on-and-off weather and a lukewarm display of costumes, the humidity couldn’t slow down the laughter and banter.
It seemed that the charcoal grill was the popular choice for lunch refreshed with lovely cold beverages. President Ken and I presented the awards for People’s Choice and for best dressed lady, Joan Bruce who had unfortunately left early... her prize to be forwarded. As we couldn’t give an Award to 'male best dressed’ we turned the prize to a car, as Skippy had made the effort! Thus it was awarded to Sam Spink’s EH Holden Ute.
Thanks again to all the participants and organisers for a great day.
