HANDBRAKES
ladies coffee morning

Gardens Café
On a splendid spring morning we gathered
on the verandah at the Garden Café and
tucked into some delicious cakes prepared
on site by the welcoming staff. Run by the
Sunshine Coast Council the café employs
disadvantaged youngsters who do a really
good job – friendly and efficient.
10 ladies chatted away, while their ‘drivers’
put the rev-head world to rights at the
adjoining table.
Mick Freestone was getting lots of
sympathy for his injured thumb [don’t ask,
but it was bloody !!] and John Mac had
suffered a ‘flying spanner’ injury to his
head… more blood !!!
The brush turkey kept an eye on us all.
