The weather was exceptionally good for a day of fun and competition on the mini-course, although there are 18 holes to keep everyone on their
toes – or should that be tees !!
After a relaxing coffee and talk of tactics 30 or so members lined up in groups of 4 to pit their wits against the vagaries of the holes, fairways, greens and unexpected bits of ‘rough’.
Well done to those who managed a hole in one... although one player got more than one hole in one. After much laughter, more than a few rude words muttered under breath, and some very skilful play the scores were added up.
The annual winner’s
Sheep Station Trophy
was awarded to Judy Bickley, with Noel – in gallant mode – presenting the ‘smiley’ trophy to Rina, the looser with the highest score. Meanwhile Graeme Adams scored a bottle of wine for the highest scorer but with a hole in one.
Then it was time for some very welcome drinks and lunch during which everyone recounted stories of the shot that should have been a hole in one, but just missed the pin!!!

I am sure we will all look forward to doing it again next year... good fun.
