SOCIAL REPORT
from Michel Rety
Our second combined
morning tea this year
was well attended
where we met at THE BARN in Flaxton. We
all agreed the various delicacies on offer at
the venue deemed excellent. We also
benefited from some insights on the Katie
Rose Hospice provided by Carol Raye and
head nurse Sarah on the functions of running
the hospice and the special services they
offer. Photos of the event on pages 6 and 7.
September started off with a visit to a couple
of our Car Show sponsors namely Local
Motorcycle Company and Smart Automotive
Technologies providing some info about their
services and products. A ‘different’ SMB as
we had no tables for tall stories but the
coffee was available next door.
On the 8th September we gathered in
Timbeerwah at Colin and Maxine Kiel’s 4Cs
Museum where Colin gave us all a tour of his
very special collection complimented by
Information’s about the car collection and
memorabilia. The attending Coffee Van,
Yanni’s Greek Gyros and the beautiful
weather made for a very enjoyable day. All in
all we had a gathering of 53 where Colin
raised $265.00 from entry fees which was
kindly donated to Katie Rose Hospice by
Colin and Maxine.
The rest of September had events every
weekend with the Cruize-in at Cooroy, then
the following Friday the Handbrakes
gathering at beautiful Fairhill gardens, and
finally for September the DGD organised by
Toni and Debbie Slattery.
You will find photos and various reports
spread through this edition of Beep Beep.
