CONGRATULATIONS TO RCC MEMBER ANGIE WEEKS...
Partner Entrepreneur of the Year – Angela (Angie) Weeks,
PTSD Dogs Australian
Prime Minister’s National Veterans’ Employment Awards in Canberra
Angie and her co-founder Roger Weeks established PTSD Dogs Australia as a non-profit organisation that trains and provides service dogs for veterans and first responders suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Over the years, Angie has trained and placed 26 service dogs with veterans and first responders suffering from PTSD.
With a deep understanding of veteran and first responder trauma, the complex symptoms of PTSD, and the significant difference between training therapy dogs and service dogs, Angie and Roger combine their knowledge and skillsets to rescue dogs and train them for the health, wellbeing and reintegration of veterans and first responders in Australia.
