What an outstanding success this year's Distinguished Gentleman’s Drive turned out to be!
The variety of cars and the wonderful outfits were a sight to be seen, with everyone going to great lengths to look the part.
The drive went off without a hitch, with the exception of the Landrover which had dirty fuel – however our expert mechanic on duty, Mick Freestone, was able to fix the problem and get them to the finish line. One car ran out of fuel in the Golf Club carpark and had to be pushed the final few metres into the parking area.
Nerida, our fashion judge for the day, did a great job picking the winners, who were Debbie Slattery for best dressed female, Noel St John-Wood for best dressed male, Mr and Mrs Coto, best dressed couple (and kids), and the winner for the most money raised was Bea Barnes who raised $1,197.
Total amount raised was $8,649, which was a great effort.
Once again the Golf Club went above and beyond, serving the meals up in record time and looking after everyone's wellbeing.
We look forward to next year's event, and thank everyone for their participation.
