Like the Oscars and similar events it is time to list the ‘thank yous’ ... ... ...
Lots of thanks to my partner in crime Judy Bickley... we both put in a lot of time beforehand to make everything go smoothly including Judy’s magnificent spread sheet of attendees names and menu choices.
Lots of thanks must go to Leanne and her staff at the Cooroy RSL for beautiful room and table decorations and to the Chef for providing 100 HOT dinners spot on time. They always look after us very well and we appreciate it.
Lots of thanks to Will Johns as host and MC for the day... he did a masterful job keeping us on track and entertaining everyone.
More thanks to Michel and Nicole Rety who welcomed everyone and ensured we all got the correct name tags with menu selections.
Thanks to our members who turned up wearing some amazing ‘head gear’ – Santa would be proud!!! The winners were eye-catching to say the least, Debbie’s was very flashy !!! and hopefully Adrian took his sky-high creation off before trying to get in the car to go home !!!
Thanks to the Management Committee who gave us a hefty budget to provide welcome drinks and a large number of quality prizes.
As an ice breaker and talking point Judy composed a Christmas Trivia which engendered some hilarity and conversation. My music selections were enjoyed because no-one complained about it being too loud. In fact, so subtle was it that I am not sure anyone actually noticed it was there. Mission accomplished.
We are glad that you all had such a good time.
