A gathering of 60 Club Members and friends of Grayham and Judy Bickley met at the Cooroy RSL for a morning of remembrance and celebration of Grayham’s fascinating life.
Sadly lost 12 months ago (when Covid restrictions curtailed funeral attendance) after many years of fighting pain and ill health Grayham was treasured as a friend by so many people in so many clubs and associations locally and in Sydney.
Five people spoke with affection and quoted anecdotes of how he inspired and brought enthusiasm to all the myriad of activities he tackled – from acting and sporting radio commentary in his younger days to joining the gliding club, book writers club, camera club and car clubs when he and Judy moved to Noosa. He was well known as the voice of the Hill Climb and local Car Shows as well. Just how did he find time for the ‘day job’? After the reminiscing and viewing photos of his life, Grayham was toasted with his favourite tot of Malt - yes! he was a member of the Whisky Club too! Grayham is sorely missed as a valued friend and a Roadrunner Club Member.
Sincere thanks to Judy, Grayham’s widow, – our Club Secretary – from all those invited to such a memorable and touching occasion. Editor
