GRAEME BLOCK’S GREAT SHED EVENT
We had all been waiting with breathless anticipation for the great shed party! But Graeme kept us on tenterhooks until his GT40 shell rolled in – and it was worth waiting for.
The event was over subscribed and the 50-member-cut-off soon reached registration limits, but even so, a few extras seem to have snuck in. The HUGE shed was bursting not only with the GT40 and the Porche but enthusiastic rev- heads talking shop [well talking sheds and motors] and nibbling on sausages sizzled to perfection by Mick Freestone and Noel S-J and deftly handed round by John Mc.
While all this was progressing the ladies found a quiet corner to relax and no doubt talk about the men talking about the cars.
After the sausages had been consumed our Social Coordinator Ken McGregor made a short speech of welcome and reminded everyone to register for all Club events for catering and organisation.
Handing over to Graeme with thanks for his hospitality, we learned about the GT40 project already completed – the Lego version! – and the forthcoming project which was sitting like a coffee table exhibit centre stage.
We will no doubt follow its progress with great interest.
