Noel reports on the Tour of the
Sir Henry Royce Foundation Collection at Coolum : 12 March 2022
Hosts Frank and Joan Carroll have a huge passion for the Rolls Royce and Bentley marques. The Foundation collection has many interesting vehicles and engines from the past 100 years.
We had a really good commentary tour by Frank who has a mountain of knowledge about almost everything! Joan made some welcome snacks including tasty pikelets – oh! yum.
The military vehicles were of special interest, and I experienced the entry and exit of the ‘Ferret’ which was a contortionist’s exercise!!! Member Stu Edwards was snapped in the back seat of a Vintage RR contemplating the feeling of being a Royal and chauffeured around in another life maybe.
