Visit to
KATIE ROSE COTTAGE HOSPICE
Whilst the number of members who attended was disappointing, the visit was very valuable for those who did attend (8) to gain a better understanding of the Hospice, the property, surrounds, history and services provided.
Sarah Grandison and Carol Raye provided the tour and lots of information about the Hospice, including that they had provided services for over 400 terminally ill people since they opened. They also provided a delightful morning tea with scones, jam and cream and cakes.
I have suggested that we hold an information event maybe at the Cooroy RSL for those reluctant to visit the Hospice itself, this way members will be able to gain a better appreciation of the KRCH and more invested in the support the Club provides.
