The best winter weather was ordered especially!
The recent chilly wind went away and the sunshine caused many to remove coats and jumpers as we spread along the front verandah of
The Apollonian.
Just over 30 members were welcomed by Lou and her staff, and the Chef turned out a magnificent and succulent roast beef dinner. By the time we had also consumed a delicious treacle sponge pudding we all felt like little fat people!!!
Michel and Nicole Rety were busy checking us all in and handing out tickets for a tempting basket of goodies for the door prize which was won by Pat McGregor.
Then our President Ken McGregor made a touching and heartfelt speech in honour of Malcolm King before presenting him with a framed recognition of Life Membership – amidst much applause.
On such a delightful sunny afternoon everyone lingered in a happy festive mood with much gossip and laughter.
