PRESIDENT’S REPORT Happy New Year fellow Roadrunners
I want to start by thanking everyone for their offers of support as I find my feet in the position of president.
Hopefully everyone has had a most enjoyable Christmas with friends and family.
How did everyone enjoy our Christmas party at the Maroochy River Golf Club? Please feel free to give me your feedback, what was good – what not so much?
By letting us know what we are doing well along with what could be improved, we can work towards making our get togethers even more enjoyable for everyone.
2022, while still challenging us with Covid lingering on and some unfortunate weather at times, saw the Club continue to grow and we now boast in excess of 340 active members.
It was great to see such a good turnout at the last Cooroy Sunday Cruize-In for 2022 – these informal gatherings are a great opportunity to catch up with friends over a coffee and eyeball some fine examples of motoring owned by fellow members. There were around 50 cars gathered in December, all a tribute to their owners’ passion.
The Apollonian Hotel is the place to be this Australia Day, with the weather forecast to be a fine 28deg and only a 0.2% chance of rain. I’m sure this will ensure a fantastic display of the Clubs’ finest cars and bikes and it will be a great opportunity to meet new members and develop friendships with likeminded motoring enthusiasts.
I am looking forward to working with our new Social Co-ordinator, Ken McGregor, who I am sure is going to have some great experiences lined up for us all. However I would encourage your input to let us know what you would like to see in the way of events, runs and general get-togethers for the coming year.
Remember – this is your Club – let’s work together and make it great !
