MONTHLY DRIVE
with brekkie, morning tea and
lunch !
SUNDAY 18th MAY
This event was a week later in the
month than usual to avoid Mother’s
Day mayhem on roads and at cafés!!
It was also linked to the monthly
Cooroy Cruize-in which seemed a
popular choice.
After the chit-chat, coffee and some
brekkie everyone gathered in the
Maple Street car park ready for the
off.
The route headed for Gympie Gold
Museum and after a pleasant drive
there was more welcome refreshment.
Then it was onward by a devious
route to the Wild Vine in Imbil for
lunch – my what a lot of eating and
drinking during the day !!!
There was much discussion, some
laughter and a few choice words
about the route directions. On many
occasions various members had been
noted passing each other in opposite
directions which caused some
confusion.
But after a very satisfactory lunch
everyone was in good humour for the
journey home down the coast.
