FRANK CARROLL AT THE NOOSA CONCOURS
Members may be interested to learn that Roadrunner Club member Frank Carroll was involved in the inaugural Noosa Concours (modelled on Pebble Beach), over the weekend of 16th July. Some other RCC members were involved as well. Frank has kindly given us access to some official photos which may be of interest.
The MB Club had a lot of members assisting as Marshalls, traffic wardens, etc. There was a champagne brunch at Sails Restaurant in Noosa for presentations.
Frank Carroll was the only Queensland Judge, along with two Pebble Beach Judges, Sam Movizio (Sydney) and Todd Gilmour (Melbourne) – just the 3, with two younger trainees from Sydney.
The Noosa event had big sponsorship and lots of interesting things happening all day – more than 15,000 people mingled with the cars.
It will now be an annual event, as Steve Padgett brought Sandra and Martin Button (she’s been the manager of Pebble Beach for more than a decade) out and every aspect of the event was a great success.
Entrepreneur Steve Padgett [pictured below] is Chair of Alliance Airlines and owns Sunshine Coast Jet Centre. He said “the event is all about delivering inspiration and joy” – it also raised money for charity.
