>> The heat and humidity of Florida can place such a differentiating element
on the competition, that must who aren’t used to the local weather can feel very unsure of themselves. Chase Sexton, especially when in comparison to many of these European riders, as been in this position before, and is no stranger both to the heat in the atmosphere, and within the competition. Looking to replicate his efforts at Loretta Lynn’s just a year ago, WW Ranch provided a perfect platform for one last race of the year. His light figure saw him railing the outsides in moto number one, his attack style of the sternum to the barpad, and his head slightly forward, paying off. It was he, Brian Bogers, and fellow young gun Justin Cooper. Who stayed ahead in the pack you asked? None other than the 486. He would reside in sixth, looking to improve for the second go around, later on in the day. The second moto was a little tougher for the Illinois native, but he was still reiter- ating the fact as to why he was signed by the Geico Honda crew. Cresting these singles, the moment his rear tire left the face of the jump, his throttle was already twisted, ready to grab mother earth as soon as he would land. The gyrating effect would place him just in front of Mitchell Harrison by the end of the moto, as the both lunged for Belgium’s Julien Lieber. It was close, but no cigar; Sexton crossing the line in eighth, good enough for a sixth overall on the day.
