BRENT VAN DONINCK
250 MXGP / 9TH

>> Looking at the blueprint of MXGP tracks, you may see a bit of airtime; how- ever, if you are looking to find Supercross triples and other earth shattering obstacles, you may not be as attracted to the championship, as the competing AMA series. However, if you had the chance to attend the MXGP at WW MX Park, all wants could have been checked, and thirsts quenched, as riders like Brent Van Donnick were looking to take a bit of Europe, and mesh it with the United States. Moto number one saw Van Doninck hovering near the top ten for a good portion of the moto, soaking up these gigantic lips with a pushing of the front forks. It wasn’t so much that he was aggressively scrubbing each individual takeoff, but he was timing the push of his suspension with every launch into the air, shaving a piece of time in every instant. With a trigger-happy Pauls Jonass in front, the number 172 knew if he could remain at his bay, then his speed must be sufficient; it was, as
he would bring home the eleventh place ride. The second round saw Brent rolling each particular outside, while well inside the top ten in for a good portion of the moto’s entirety. Skying over the gigantic tabletop before the “Ipone” branded fly away, he would glance over each lap to see who was in front of him; it was that of Pauls Jonass, who’d made his away around earlier. He again, lunged for the Latvian, but he couldn’t quite make the time up. He would go on to finish a very impressive sixth, good enough for ninth overall.
