All of the action on Sunday went off without a hitch;
it was championship day,
so there was a lot of focus based around the podium festivities. Everybody who scored an overall finish earned a bottle of bubbly. The cheerful faces of all the kids spraying one another on the box created memories that will last forever in the minds of the racers and
their families. Both pro classes also raced on Sunday and they undoubtedly produced some of the most intense racing of the entire weekend, almost on par with the Mom’s race one night prior. Heath Harrison, Jimmy Albertson, Ramyller Alves, and Curren Thurman fought hard throughout multiple races on track to give the fans their money’s worth in addition to the brilliant racing that the amateurs provided. There was an intangible energy lofted around the track as the racing came to an end. As everyone
began to pack up and leave, they all did so with a smile on their face and a twinkle in their eye, already reminiscing on the historic weekend with a fermenting anticipation of the many years to come.
