>> Although the Arizona Cardinals had a less than stellar season, the vibe still looms of hopes and bountiful wishing that an event can bring joy to the Southwestern city.
The Diamondbacks have been a sub-par franchise for the majority of the last decade, and the Suns are a young squad hoping to endure the woes of Draft day in scoring another young prospect.
It’s time for the city to captivate its roots, truly blossom from what the sunny skies outside will provide, and offer an action packed event that will lure the crowd into a trance, and have the town talking for months about the events that were bestowed on the night of January, 28th 2017.
The man to help aid in that process you ask? No other than Nick Schmidt.
Never to be one behind the curtains when the spotlight is shining bright, he eagerly searches for eyes of all when his tread hits the track at each particular event he goes too; and Phoenix was no different.
Making his way into the main event through the LCQ, he was reminded that immaculate line choice, precision with the throttle, and a settled heart rate would be the key to the nights success.
And although you can’t blame him, the pre race agenda was quickly foregone and cast into the crowd like a tearoff smudged with Arizona clay.
Mistake after mistake, it wasn’t as though he was aimlessly wandering in the back of the field, his effort was just too much for the track to handle; his own worst enemy so to speak.
Laptimes dipping in and out of his ideal median pinpoint, the harsh truth was that he would have to display his best lap, every go around, in order to succeed in this field
of elite. Timing and scoring would place him in 19th as the race would conclude, and although he’s seen much better, he knew next week would offer a chance to reignite the flame that he has within.
