>> With talks of the “U.S. Mexican Border Wall” being generated into fruition as we’ve selected Donald Trump as our president, the state of Arizona is a land where this issue is at the forefront of many topics, and will be directly be affected by this gigantic structure we know to solidify our boundaries.
There’s a certain mystique that come’s along with a wall albeit an actual 40 foot cement structure, or a theoretical block that someone looks, feels, or wonders about in distraught and agony.
Vince Friese has had many different “walls” to climb throughout his career; some, taller than others, but his ability to charge, and leap over the summit is what’s made him great thus
far, and he plans to continue the memo for the remainder of the 2017 season; and may well plow through it if his determination reaches impenetrable levels.
As the field loaded the line for the final drop of the evening, his rider/mechanic combo could be seen from the stands; a last minute fist bump, rocking back and forth of the bike behind the pad, it was time to launch.
Clicking through the gearbox, and then flipping into a period of deceleration all in the matter of moments, the elbows were high, and rubbed plastic with all who were near, following the opening lap.
The single, double, triple, triple combo heading into the right bowl turn was allowing him to gain time on the opposition, each time he was able to land the sequence, gaining significant ground.
The track began to dry out, as it had been doing so all day, but his technique never faltered, the foot staying at adequate level just above the Arizona surface, making sure not to dab, as he doesn’t want to be placed on injury reserve yet again.
With the clock striking 20:00, the last lap effort he had to endure seemed like agony, with both the top of the field and his foes knocking at his doorstep. All in all, the timer would read 16th, and he would go on to take home a small lump sum of points heading into the next round.
