>> Coming into Minneapolis there is no doubt Chad Reed wants to win a main event and prove to everyone he can
still run with the young dogs. After his amazing battle with Eli Tomac in Glendale he is hungrier than ever. Although Reed qualified out of the semi tonight he was still fast, running a 49 second lap time (less than two seconds off of Tomac). Reed did not get off to a good start in the main event. Com- ing around the first corner, after avoiding crashed bikes, Reed was only in 18th on the first lap. He made quick work of his bad start and was making his way towards the front when back luck struck again. He was running mid pack when he got a little sideways at the end of the whoops and wad- ded pretty hard. Unfortunately, Reed wasn’t able to pull it together and find his way around riders as easily with only eight minutes remaining and ended himself with a 16th place finish.
