HUNTER YODER
Hunter Yoder is one to watch coming into the week of racing at Loretta Lynn’s Dude Ranch. The 12 year old out of Menifee, CA has been setting the world of amateur motocross alight
so far throughout the 2016 season with some dominant performances in the 65cc division. Yoder puts his work in at Rockwell Training Facility in Wildomar, CA which has produced some top level talent in the action sports community such as UCI Downhill MTB World Champion, Aaron Gwin, as well as top level professional motocross rider, Broc Tickle.
Yoder still finds time throughout the week to
be successful off the track, boasting a 4.0
GPA in his 6th grade class. On the track, he
has managed to put his KTM Orange Brigade backed ride in front of decorated amateur sensations such as Ryder DiFrancesco and Matthew LeBlanc on multiple occasions throughout the spring nationals. He put in a flawless set of rides in his home state during
the California Classic with a pair of 1st place overall finishes, beating out the aforementioned riders with relative ease in the 65cc classes that he raced. The KTM standout also swept both 65cc divisions that he contested at Mammoth Mountain, taking home the 1st place trophies
on both days of racing and sending a message to his competitors in the last major race before Loretta Lynn’s. The young Californian’s results in all of his Loretta’s qualifiers were nothing short of outstanding as he began to set a precedent for his dominance throughout the season, boasting eleven 1st place overall finishes throughout
the qualifiers that he raced. If his seemingly invincible form so far is any indication, Yoder
will be standing on the top step of the podium come the end of the week’s racing at the Ranch. Surprisingly, it would be the Menifee native’s first Loretta Lynn’s title to his name so far in his young career, but with the way he’s been riding as of late, it most likely won’t be his last.
