JETT REYNOLDS
There’s not much to say about the career of Jett Reynold’s that those with their finger on the pulse of amateur motocross don’t already know. He is on pace to be one
of the most successful riders in
the history of the famed Loretta Lynn’s Amateur Nationals, with an incredible six titles to his name at the age of just 11 years old. The most impressive part about his title tally
is that he has won those six titles in an uninterrupted streak dating back to 2013. Reynolds scored a ride
for the prestigious Monster Energy Team Green Kawasaki team in 2014 after sweeping both of his classes the prior year on a Cobra. He will
be attempting to extend that streak at the Ranch this year in the 85cc class in what would be an impactful landmark in the history of the event as no other rider has won multiple titles consecutively for so many years in the 35 year history of the event. The California native has put together an impressive 2016 so far, finishing 1st overall in at least one contested class in every major event he’s participated barring
an unusually regular showing at Mammoth. He stormed through the 85cc (9-11) division at the Daytona RCSX as well as Oak Hill, putting in trademark rides to take the overall in comfortable fashion. The Kawasaki prospect didn’t finish off the podium at the James Stewart Spring Nationals, his worst overall finish being a 2nd place in the 85cc (9-13) class, accompanied by two overall wins in the other 85cc divisions.
He carried that momentum into the California Classic where he grabbed yet another overall victory and he showcased his SX skills yet again
at the JuniorMotoX with a dominant pair of overall wins. In a rare showing of normality, he only managed one overall podium at Mammoth on the first day of racing, but that won’t phase a rider such as himself with over eighty national titles to his name coming into the biggest week of racing the year has to offer.
