As mentioned already, it hasn’t taken long for Bisceglia to show what he can do having competed only three times in the first five rounds and his result this weekend was no different. Turning back time to the start of the first moto, Matt got out of the gate clean as he put himself inside the top ten right from the beginning. Stuck in 9th, between Pourcel and Baggett, the riders appeared motionless for the first ten minutes before
Baggett was finally able to make the move on his temporary teammate, thus pushing Bisceglia to 10th. As the race was reaching its latter half, Bogle hit some struggles fading outside the top ten, ultimately allowing Matt back into 9th. Still riding with intensity, Bisceglia was handed a gift when Phil Nicoletti was forced to pull off just before the two lap board, handing the
8th position to Matt relatively easy. With only two laps left, there wasn’t any time for any more movement and Matt was forced to settle for a well-deserved finish to start the last race of the first half. In moto two, Bisceglia again got out of the gate on fire and began to put in work, reaching 6th on lap three. Holding down 6th, it took the next five laps for Matt to finally make his move on former teammate Justin Bogle to pick up 5th and a potential season best finish. Three laps later, falling victim to a wrecking ball that consisted of Musqin, Pourcel and Baggett, Matt had dropped to 8th in a blink of an eye and had nothing left in the tank for the final five laps of the moto. Despite the late race mishap, Matt held his ground and put solidified 8th for the second time of the day. Now, in just four rounds, Bisceglia has placed in the top ten overall twice and potentially has six more rounds to mix it up near the front and secure this summer as his best yet.
