Justin Barcia had a solid morning in practice at High Point raceway. He was keeping it fun with some whips
and qualified 7th overall going into the motos. When the gate dropped for the first 450 Moto, Justin seemed
to get a good jump but shuffled back quickly and found himself sitting around 12th on the end of the first lap. He slowly started to gather his speed and was sitting 10th on the end of lap three. He quietly put in solid laps as the moto went on and only made a couple of passes by the time the white flag came out. Barcia was nearing Bogle as the race came to a close but there was not enough time for him to get by. He was able to come away with a respectable 7th place. In Moto two, Justin was clearly ready to change it up and he did exactly that. He pulled a commanding holeshot and was doing everything he could to hold Roczen at bay. Unfortunately, a hard charging Roczen was able to get by him but Justin latched onto the back of him sitting in a close 2nd. By the third lap, Jason Anderson had closed in on Barcia and was able to make the move. Justin was now sitting 3rd and looking for a way to hold off 4th place, Tomac. Five minutes into the moto, Eli got by him and Justin looked to settle into 4th. He held off Musquin for a while but finally gave into the Frenchman with a quarter of the race under his belt. Barcia was able to hold on and finish a very commendable 5th in the second moto. He would finish a respectable 5th overall in Pennsylvania. Look for Barcia to build off this finish and put in some impressive results this summer.
