Zach Osborne finally had the day he has been waiting for. Getting a respectable start in moto one he was right behind the leader with his eyes on the prize. He quickly passed Jeremy Martin putting himself into second behind Alex Martin. About halfway through the moto the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna rider made the pass for the lead after Alex Martin made a small mistake. Keeping the throttle on he pulled away from Alex.
After almost an entire year of not being on the podium Osborne got his first ever moto win. The second moto didn’t go quite as well as the first one with the pressure to win looming over his head, he was a bit nervous about making mistakes he didn’t push as hard off the get go. Jumping out of the gate right into fourth place Osborne got a good start to moto two. He fell back
to fifth then got passed by Plessinger sending him back to sixth far from the position he needs for the overall. After losing positions quickly he put his head down and began his ascent back to the front. He passes Cianciarulo then Jeremy Martin’s bike breaks moving him all the way up to fourth. With Savatgy in first he needs one more position in order to get the overall. Pushing as hard as he can it wasn’t quite there and Plessinger finished the moto off in fourth place. Going first and fourth he got a second overall a big step in the right direction towards another overall win.
