Younger brother to Tommy and the late Nicky, Roger was the last of the the trio to swing a leg over a motorcycle. He honed his skills as all of the Hayden brothers did, spinning laps on a modest dirt track across the street from their house, referred to as Sunset Downs.
To this day as a member of the Yoshimura Suzuki Factory Team, Roger still trains on
the same very soil that brought him up as a youngster, along with a tightknit group of rac- ers from Owensboro. The three boys weren’t the only ones in the family that raced; racing history ran deep in the Hayden’s blood as both his father and mother (Earl and Rose), as well as his two sisters Kathleen and Jenny, called themselves racers. >>
