The #41 of Crockett Myers had a secured himself a spot in the top 10 in his classes all weekend. Myers ended up finishing 1st in his 85 (9-11) heat after Reynolds and Romano got close to each other and giving him a clean ride for the W. A good gate pick found him near the front in the first corner with some of the fastest 85 riders. Getting used to the track and
throwing down solid 1:06’s, Crockett knew a 10th place finish wasn’t for him. After finding better lines and feeling more comfortable, Crockett got his laptime down to a 1:03.9, securing him a 9th place finish overall in the 85 (9-11) class. With a better start in his Mini Sr 1 class, Crockett found himself in 7th place on the first lap. On lap 3 and 4, his laptimes were 2 seconds slower, putting him to the 10th position. This goes to show how stiff the competition was in these classes. Once again, not settling with a 10th place finish, Myers turned up his speed, dropping his laptime to a 103:9 once again, rocketing himself into the 9th position. He would hold onto that position, staying up and keeping his pace until the checkered flag. Congratulations, Crockett.
