>> Last weekend Jimmy Decotis lead the most laps he ever has in a main event, a career best. Leading 10 out of the 18 laps before he fell back Decotis got a taste of what it was
like being out front. The Geico Honda rider was feeling it last weekend, and carrying that momentum into the third round it was looking like Decotis might just get that long desired win. Now a new weekend with a new track Decotis was feeling it. Qualifying seventh into the night show it was going to be a lot of work to get back to that front spot he looked so comfort- able in just one week ago. The Geico Honda rider also quali- fied seventh into the main event out of his heat race. Really working to get where he was last weekend Decotis was ambitious when that gate dropped for the main event really hoping he would get that start again. Not quite leading Deco- tis was still near the front sitting back in fifth place around the first lap. He worked hard to hold off Davalos behind him but wasn’t quite able to get him at bay and lost a position send- ing him back to sixth. The remainder of the race Decotis held off his sixth-place position. Finishing another round off in the top ten the Geico Honda rider is holding onto sixth place in the championship race, not quite where he wants to be, but showing a lot of potential.
