Once again being one of the top qualifiers coming into the night Pourcel has the speed laid out to be a front runner. In his first heat race he gets a killer start putting him in the top five. Staying in fifth behind Weimer most of the race he puts one last effort in to get the last transfer spot on the last lap but falls short. His Semi race start reflects his heat race placing him in the top five again. This time
he was able to hold onto his fifth place transfer spot right in front of Will Hahn and continues onto the main. Pourcel gets a good jump out of the gate for the main, but gets ran off the side of the track because of that right hander due to riders not getting their rear breaks as well as they normally would on a left hand start. He begins his race in sixteenth battling Hahn and Friese. They keep the switch up of positions all through the race. Eventually moving up to thirteenth he keeps close behind Will Hahn. Moving up one more position Pourcel finishes his main event off with a twelfth place finish.
