MICHAEL LEIB
Racing as a privateer is no easy task. The constant struggle of traveling, buying bikes, buying parts, maintaining the motorcycle, not to mention being the rider (training, practicing, eating right ext.) It’s extremely easy to lose motivation when dealing with the immense amount of stress and pressure that goes into racing at
a professional level. Michael Leib has had some great rides in the past, but has also experienced first hand what its like to race as a privateer. Respectfully so, he has always found ways to continue racing when he hasn’t received support. Sometimes (so it seems) putting in results when racing on your own dime is just what team owners like to see. This year the southern California native is riding aboard the Blue Buffalo/Slater Skins/Herrara Ranch Yamaha and looks to grab his first top ten finish of the season at Anaheim 2.
