MITCHELL OLDENBURG
Mitchell Oldenburg is turning 2016 into a career year. He has been reeling off some consistent motos in the past several weeks and nearly all of them have been in the top ten. Like many young
riders, Oldenburg struggled early in his career sealing the deal at the end of races. We would see
him up front and riding strong early only to fall or fade backwards. But this season he has begun to make amends to those mistakes with the help of his trainer Tyla Rattray. He credits Rattray to helping him increase his endurance late in motos and remain smooth and consistent for the full thirty plus two. Combine those upgrades to his game with his already solid starting ability; you have a whole new rider. His starts have always been good throughout his career and now he is finally able to take full advantage of them. He’s now able to start up front and hold his own for a majority of the moto. Oldenburg will be looking for some redemption this weekend at Washougal after a set back performance last week at Millville. Look for the Red Bull Troy Lee Designs KTM to be fighting to get into that top five.
