Zach looked smooth when practice started Saturday morning in Washington. Zach qualified a strong 10th going into the races and knew what he had to do when the gate dropped. Zach got a decent start when the first moto began, and was running just outside the top five through the first lap. He jumped to 5th quickly after that and set his sights on the rider in front of him. After a few laps, Zach began to feel pressure from current points leader, Webb. Osborne stayed strong and was able to pass a rider with Cooper in toe. He was now sitting in 4th and very close to 3rd place, Jmart. Then, Cooper got the best of him and he quickly regained the 5th position. Zach would finish there and look forward to the next one. When the gate dropped for moto two, Zach got a similar start and was running 7th by the end of the first lap. On the next lap, Zach made the pass on Oldenburg for 6th, and made the pass into 5th soon after. Zach began to creep up on moto one winner, Alex who was sitting in 4th. Unfortunately, Zach’s weekend came to a close prematurely as bike failure ended his race. He will be back for redemption next weekend.
