>> It’s back to the original schedule for Round six of the Monster Energy Supercross series. There is no daytime racing or Triple Crown this weekend in San Diego, but that didn’t stop from a crazy night of racing. One rider who avoided all the mayhem was
51 fifty Energy drink Yamaha’s Kyle Chisholm. Turning pro back in 2004 Kyle has all the experience he needs to stay clear of the dangerous situations that take place each weekend in the 250 class. His veteran experience would come into play early in the night at PetCo Park as heat race number one started off a little hairy. Coming around the first turn around 10th, Kyle wisely took advantage of others misfortune. Riders were colliding in the first rhythm section and making costly mistakes while Chisholm smoothly went passed, turning a mediocre start into a 4th place by the end of the first lap. With pressure from the current points lead Aaron Plessinger and TLD Redbull KTM’s Shane Mcelrath, Chisholm found himself moving even more towards the front as he began to put pressure on Rocky Mountain ATV/MC KTM’s Dakota Alix. Kyle made the pass on Alix and rode in 3rd for a lap or so before Plessinger and Mcelrath made their way passed. Kyle ends his heat race in 5th overall. Another good start in the Main Event put the Yamaha rider inside the top ten, making some quick passes
on lap one and crossing the finish in 9th. He would stay here for most of the Main Event until late in the race Monster Energy/Yamalube Yamaha’s Aaron Plessinger had a crash in the whoops right as Kyle was closing in on Rockstar Energy’s Mitchell Har- rison. Chisholm made the pass on Harrison and got a 2-for-1 special moving up to 7th place. Plessinger would rebound towards the end of the race and pass him back leav- ing Kyle with an 8th place finish. Kyle ties his best finish of the season and now has three 8th place finishes in a row. He has been consistent all year and finds himself 8th place in points heading into the five-week break.
