>> The Rockstar Husqvarna rider Zach Osborne has used true grit and determination to keep the points lead during the 2017 outdoor season. Race after race Zach has proved that he deserves the red number plate. But after a rough start last weekend at Muddy Creek ending the first moto in fifth Osborne knew he needed to concentrate and go for the win second moto. The second race was underway and Zacho made two passes for the lead and went on to win the race going 5-1 for second overall at Muddy Creek.
The Rockstar Husqvarna Factory rider came to Redbud prepared to take charge and dominate again at the centerpiece round of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Series. Qualify- ing with the best lap time of the day with a 2.02 time, Osborne was ready to take Redbud by the horns. As the gate drops Zacho launches off the line and comes out second right behind Geico Honda rider Jeremy Martin. Throwing down the hammer Osborne stays
on Jeremy’s tail as the race proceeds. Lap after lap Zach hangs on behind Martin cut-
ting down couple second margin between the two riders. As the race comes to an end Osborne makes one last attempt to gain speed on Jeremy Martin but can’t make the pass, therefore ending moto number one in second place.
Moto number two wasn’t as great as the first race. Coming off the gate mid pack in 12th for the holeshot. Knowing what needs to be done Osborne puts his head down and doesn’t let off the gas. Gaining multiple postions Zach finally get to the top five. Seeing that Alex Martin is down Zach flies by landing himself in second place. Mitchell Harrison is in the lead and Zach is on a mission. Zach puts pressure on Harrison as they head over Loracco’s Leap. Harrison chops off Osborne protecting the inside line. Only a couple laps left and Harrison still has the lead. Osborne takes the inside line in the rollers and steals the lead from Mitchell Harrison. The Rockstar Husqvarna rider puts his head down and goes to work. Putting in lap after lap Zacho gains a two second lead on second place. Last lap and the checkered flag is in sight. With both Harrison and Martin on his heels Zach Osborne crosses the finish line relieved and happy he pulled off that intense race. Taking a 7point gain in points and the overall win Osborne is beyond happy after round five in Buchanan, Michigan at Redbud.
