contest both Mini Sr. classes at the pictur-
esque circuit. The Californian laid down a
solid showing of speed in his heat races,
wrapping up two second place finishes to
help his confidence heading into the second
motos.
In the Mini Sr. 1 class, the Yamaha rider wasn’t able to secure the best jump
off the line and he found himself back near the top twenty on the opening lap. Cross worked his way back to seventeenth place on the opening lap, incessantly chipping away at the field with each circulation of
the course. He found himself inside the top ten on the opening lap and continued to work his way forward, eventually salvaging an eighth place finish after a poor start. In the Mini Sr. 2 class, Cross put himself in a good position right from the drop of the gate as he settled into the top five in the early stages of the moto. The Californian forced himself into fourth position on the opening lap and made a quick move one lap later, promoting himself to third position to make it three podium finishes on the week, capping off a successful week of racing.
