He fell back to fourth position on the fourth lap, but was able to regroup rather flawlessly and regain his rhythm, putting his lap times right where they needed to be in order to regain his consistency. Durham clocked unwavering lap times on his way
to an impressive top five finish, setting the stage for a positive overall result after the second moto. He wasn’t able to replicate his start in the next race, forcing him to carve his way through the field in a role reversal from the first race. Durham found himself buried outside of the top ten as the pack came through the first corner, but he salvaged some positions and worked his way up to thirteenth by the end of the first lap. The Pennsylvanian had fought his way back to seventh position by the fourth lap of the race, but the gap to the riders ahead of him had already grown too extensively by that point, and his progress was halted. Nonetheless, the fan favorite still managed to earn himself a sixth overall on the weekend, proving he’s still got what it takes against some of the country’s fastest young stars.
