>> Kyle Chisholm is a household name in Supercross racing. Kyle has seen many ups and downs in his career and continues to strive forward. He started off the 2017 season with a step down to the 250 class where he found some very good finishes. He currently sits 8th in points in the 250 West region and has now made the move back up to the big bike for the east coast races. He is showing he can still get the job done in the premier class with every week that goes by. There is no doubting that Kyle is fast and it looked to be the same story on Saturday night in Daytona. Kyle lined up against the doghouse for 450 Heat 2 and when the gate dropped he got an excellent jump. He kept the other riders in check as they came down the start straight but was forced to the middle of the pack as they made their way through the first corner. Kyle maintained a mid pack position up until the halfway point when the Daytona track decided to stop Kyle’s momentum. He was able to get back going but was now towards the rear of the field. He would go on to the Semi where he would get another great jump. Again, he was forced outside due to his gate pick where he would begin his climb. Kyle made his way up to 8th place with one lap to go and was working to make another pass. Unfortunately, he made the pass but it was not good enough to qualify. Kyle would go on to log some more laps in the dreaded LCQ. He would get another great jump off the line but this time he would hold on the throttle to take the early lead. He would lead all four laps and go on to the Main with some confidence. For his last gate drop of the night, Kyle did not get the start he was looking for as he was all the way on the outside coming down the straightaway. Kyle was able to get his Honda turned and was running about 11th on the first lap. Then, on lap 3, The Daytona track reached up and grabbed Kyle as he was forced to lose multiple positions. He got back going in 18th position and was now just looking to finish the night healthy. He would eventually finish in the 18th spot in Daytona.
