>> What a night for Jerry Robin in his first ever Supercross debut. The Blue Buffalo/Slater Skins rider started off the day on fire by qualifying with an extremely impressive tenth fastest lap time in practice amongst some speedy 250 East Coasters. With that kind of confidence in his corner, Robin was ready to show what he had in the night show. Robin lined up for the first heat race of the evening honoring the number 558 of Dylan Slusser, a greatly missed friend and fellow racer who our moto com- munity recently lost. Jerry Robin had his whole heart in his performance tonight and it showed with a great fifth place finish in the heat race that would send him directly, and deservingly, to the Main Event.
A clear sky and perfect eighty-degree temperatures filled the sta- dium as fans were on the edge of their seats, anticipating the excitement that was to come in the Main Event. The thirty-second board was out of sight and the gates dropped. Robin was off to, a very expected, amazing start in sixth place on lap one. For the next seven laps, Jerry Robin was not letting this tough track get the best of him and he was staying in the top ten. Sadly, by lap eight Robin found some misfortune and fell back to eighteenth place and finished the moto in the nineteenth position. Some bad luck cannot discredit the incredible ride that Jerry Robin had on the 558 for his debut in Daytona. I am definitely looking forward to seeing Jerry Robin’s supercross career flourish.
