VINCENT WEY
Vincent Wey, son of former professional Supercross racer Nick Wey, lined up
in Angels Stadium of Ana- heim for the first time in his life, carrying the family flag in the 50cc classes. The Michigan native showed speed in his heat races, earning two top five finishes to put him in a good spot
for the main events. He
was up against Seth Den- nis in the Ultracross class and the two of them battled throughout the opening laps of the race before Wey settled comfortably into second position. In the 51cc (4-8) class, he pulled the holeshot and came together with fellow Cobra pilot, Ryder Ellis, after the first big double on the track. He somehow avoided a crash and kept it on two wheels, pushing forward to the checkered flag to take the overall victory.
