CROSS
University of
Phoenix Stadium
The first round of SXA racing in An- gel Stadium of Anaheim was a grand success as gate drop after gate drop of future supercross talent battled atop the same track as the profes- sionals. A lot of the usual suspects showed up to compete and earned the results expected of them. Mitch- ell Falk and Jett Reynolds were ar- guably the two most dominant riders of the day, winning each and every main event that they contested. Both of them would be aiming to keep their winning streak alive when the racing got underway at University of Phoenix Stadium, but things would be different this time around. As op- posed to the baseball stadium that hosted the opening round of SXA action, the track in Glendale was formed inside a football stadium; allowing much longer rhythm lanes and a much different track design. Although the jumps are toned down for the safety of the amateur rac- ers, it’s still motorcycle racing and the longer lanes allowed for more creative riding from the competitors. The youth classes provided some of the best battles of the weekend back in Anaheim and this weekend was no different as the second round of SXA action went off without a hitch in The Grand Canyon State.
