THE MOTOPLAYGROUND RACE
at Ponca City
at the front of the field off to a blis- tering pace to begin. With his KTM looking truly like an orange blur, he was providing a bit of autumn festiv- ity with his pumpkin-like bike to the field. But rather than passing out candy to his competitors, he was stealing precious seconds and time away from others, pulling out to an absolutely absurd lead by lap four. Running the fastest lap of the moto on lap two, it was truly the Cole Ble- cha show, as the announcer would utter his name across the intercom system. His laptime was crazily fast; so much so, that it was actually five seconds faster than anyone else
on the track! With times like this,
he honestly could’ve been a con- tender in the 65cc ranks, aboard his automatic 50cc machine! He was eager by the time the checkered flag flew; raring to go for the run-
off yet again. Becha would be the man on the move for moto number two, as a fifth place start was less than pleasing to his liking, attest- ing to his will as a competitor. Fifth quickly transcended into second, which then would be pushed into first; the fastest laptime of the moto would then be set, as he ripped around this absolutely crisp Ponca City track. His scoring sheet would be highlighted in red, reiterating that he was the fastest man on the track. With a two minute, four second lap- time, he would eventually pull from both Thurman and Ellis behind him. With Pine and Jake Willis round-
ing out the top five, he beat the most seasoned of veteran’s straight up, putting no asterisks beside his name in the record books of cham- pionship completion. Congratula- tions Cole! We are sure to see your name on top of the record books for many years to come.
