Noah McConahy wanted to back up his career best finish two weekends ago at Washougal with another stellar outing here at Unadilla. The Washington native qualified with the nineteenth fastest time and prepared to do
battle on the legendary track. McConahy nailed a great start in the first moto as he came around lap one up in eleventh place. He was right where he wanted and needed to be but things would go south quickly. He tucked the front end and tipped over in one of the deep Unadilla ruts and remounted back in nineteenth place. That fall seemed to kill any momentum he had going, as he would only be able
to fight up to seventeenth before falling right back to nineteenth at the checkered flag. The second moto went even worse for McConahy because after another eleventh place start, he would go down hard and knock himself out of the race on the second lap. It was just an all around bummer of a day for the privateer, as he could not capitalize on two impressive starts. We hope to see McConahy back healthy and ready to redeem himself next weekend at Budds Creek.
